Crater Lake in Oregon, USA, is famously known for its deep blue colour and water clarity. Formed by the collapse of the volcano Mount Mazama, the lake is the deepest in the United States measuring nearly 2,000 feet. That ranks ninth in the world for max depth, and third for mean depth. No rivers flow into or out of the lake; the evaporation is compensated for by rain and snowfall. This is a must see! Also take a dip in the lake.
