The Kootenays features six authentic rocky mountain towns spanning 250 kilometres, highlighted by RED Mountain in Rossland and Revy Mountain in Revelstoke. Visit ’em via the Powder Highway, British Columbia’s Mountain Playground.
Nelson, BC
Creston, BC
Kaslo, BC

Revy or Revelstoke Mountain has some unreal powder. You’ve got so many great run options, so just let it flow freely! Some of your favs off the Stroke Chair included Clyde’s Secret Glades and Tally Ho Glades. Double Blacks in the South and North Bowls looked legit but we stuck to the trees where there was better visibility. Off the Ripper Chair, we ripped down glades on both sides of Denver Dallas, plus crushed that sweet run under the chairlift. Couldn’t recommend this mountain more! For a relaxing retreat post aprΓ¨s btw, consider a stay at nearby Basecamp. Update: Went back, more pics below.

Basecamp Resorts Revelstoke offer a beautiful basecamp for when you’re visiting the mountain! The resort is just a few minutes from town, and you can capture sweet views of the river and mountains. Two-story, two-bedroom suites are awesome for entertaining as they also offer a full kitchen, large dinning and living area.

High ceilings and expansive windows bring in natural light and look out at both the Kootenay Rocky Mountains and the Mighty Columbia River – the largest in the PNW, flowing some 2,000 km’s from BCβs Rocky Mountains out to sea in Astoria, Oregon. Oh yeah, they’ve also got two hot tubs waiting for you to soak in, too!

Chesterman Beach may be good for the fam, but we’d suggest you visit Mackenzie Beach instead if you’re looking for a good SUP spot, or even Combers Beach, and Cox or Long Beach if you want surf.

One of the most rewarding activities to undertake while on vacation. Whale Watch in British Columbia from any Westcoast stop, including via hotspots near Vancouver, Victoria, Tofino and Telegraph Cove.
